Area classification is carried out by making field determinations and calculations. Field determinations, calculations, assumptions and exceptions require expertise and experience. Expertise in this field is defined in the standard.
The use of the results to be obtained without expert opinion / control may cause undesirable situations (Explosion / Fire) Material and / or Moral damages.
It is aimed to raise awareness in workplaces where explosive atmospheres are likely to occur and to contribute to the competence of HSE professionals and those working in production, maintenance, installation and design.
The current version covers calculations, assumptions and classification criteria for explosive gas atmospheres according to IEC 60079-10-1.
